Mr. X's terrifying presence has chased Resident Evil 2 players through countless dark hallways by now, but this mod combines his physical stature and relentless pursuit with the muscular horns of the inimitable DMX. X Gon' Give It to Ya Resident Evil 2

Mr. X is the giant Tyrant who chases Resident Evil 2 players in several sections of the survival horror game. His footsteps and theme music, pulsing behind the player as they flee, can easily become the stuff of nightmares. Just as quickly, however, Mr. X can be made a joke. All it takes is the right music.

Players first noticed the possibility for an inspired crossover when the game came out, creating videos in which ​DMX's "X Gon' Give It to Ya" underscored the monster's unstoppable approach. Now a mod, available on Steam​, allows players to replace Mr. X's theme music in-game with the DMX song. It's like the man said: Don't let your memes be dreams. Let Mr. X give it to ya, just this once.
