WILTON MANORS — The newest building in Wilton Manors, Williamsburg Landing, had its “topping off” ceremony on Thursday.
The new health-care apartment complex for retired people who need assistance in their day-to-day lives will open in February, owner Ralph Marrinson said. The topping-off ceremony symbolized the completion of the highest points of the new complex, the structure for three colonial towers.
The center tower will contain a clock and cupola windows and will be the equivalent of 6 stories tall, Marrinson said.
Williamsburg Landing on Northeast 26th Street will have furnished studios and one- and two-bedroom apartments designed for elderly people who need assistance, but are not ill enough to require 24-hour nursing care, Marrinson said.
