UCL player cards in FIFA 21 are one of the many types of special cards littered around EA Sports' FIFA 21: Ultimate Team mode, but they are the ones that often get overlooked at times.
UCL Players FIFA 21: What are they?
The UCL Player cards are in-game variants of players whose teams are taking part in the current rendition of the UEFA Champions League tournament, the highest tier of club competitions in European football. These cards have been a staple in the Ultimate Team mode since FIFA 19, when EA Sports, and subsequently the FIFA series, secured the sponsorship rights for the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League.
UCL Players FIFA 21: How can I get one?
Simply put, you acquire them like you would any other player card in FIFA's Ultimate Team mode. You can get them via card packs in the FUT store, through various Squad Builder Challenges, and through the Transfer Market hub. You may also get them as rewards for participating in the FUT Draft mode as well as the FUT Champions mode.
UCL Players FIFA 21: Are They Worth Having?
While they may be cool to look at, these cards don't really serve much purpose outside of being a paint job. Each card has the same base stats as their standard Gold or Silver counterparts, with Rare and Non-Rare player categories listed in the Transfer Market hub -- though they do tend to sell for higher prices than their regular counterparts primarily due to their team's participation in the UCL.
There are a few SBCs that require you to have them to complete certain challenge criteria but those are very rare. But in the end whether they are worth having in your team is ultimately down to the player's preferences. Though they probably won't strike terror in your opponents' hearts like an In-Form or Icon card might do.
