Any play of the game in Overwatch has the capacity to be funny or just a good play. It's not often one comes around that is both, but this one fits the bill.
That's right. Not one, but two Reaper shrugs in one play of the game. In Roadhog's attempt to salvage the situation, hooking Reaper player rinsenpai only further humiliated their already-battered team. The unsung hero of this encounter was the Sombra player, who set up for the Death Blossom with a well-placed EMP.
While many Overwatch players are focused on acquiring the new limited-time dance emotes, Blizzard released several non-event emotes with the Anniversary update as well. Among these is the notorious Reaper shrug, which was meme'd gratuitously by the community following the release of the Uprising comic.
Always up for a bit of fan service, Blizzard released the Reaper shrug in emote, victory pose, and spray format. The humor is a welcome change of pace given Reaper's typically sinister appearances.
I for one will be making a beeline to purchase the emote and victory pose once the Anniversary event is at its close. I doubt I'll be able to pull off a double-shrug play of the game like rinsenpai, but it's worth a shot.
