Davie, in collaboration with Bill Leibowitz, Senior Citizen Advisory Committee chairman, will host a Veterans Day memorial service at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 11 at Veterans Park, 5750 SW 39th St.
Davie Mayor Judy Paul, U.S. Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz and others will be on hand as the town honors the brave men and women who have served to protect our country.
The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9697, 5484 Griffin Road, will have a barbecue following the service. Cost is $5.
