Teleperformance USA filed notice with Florida’s Agency for Workforce Innovation Monday that it plans to lay off 84 workers at its Hollywood operations effective August 20.
The Salt Lake City, Utah-based contact center management company said it’s closing the facility at 400 S. State Road 7 and consolidating its operations into fewer sites.
According to the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act notice or WARN, the employees affected by the closure include two call center managers, three supervisors and 79 customer service agents.
All 84 employees however will have the chance to transfer to another site in North Lauderdale at 7562 Southgate Blvd, the notice said. Those who opt not to transfer would be laid off on August 20.
A call to company officials seeking comment on whether or not job placement or severance packages would be provided, was not immediately returned Wednesday.
