Recently Starbucks announced six exciting new Frappuccino flavors. The Mash sent me out on the tasty task of trying them all and recording my thoughts about each one.

Red Velvet Cake Frappuccino
First impression: The taste of chocolate plays a huge factor in this Frappuccino. I’ve never actually had red velvet cake before so if it tastes like pure chocolate then Starbucks got it right. There’s a weird chocolate aftertaste, but it’s not there for long.

Cotton Candy Frappuccino
First impression: This one was pretty good. It was exactly what I was expecting, a cotton-candy flavored Frappuccino. Very sweet but not overwhelmingly sweet. The taste lasts much longer than expected.

Cinnamon Roll Frappuccino
First impression: In the beginning it smells and tastes like cinnamon heaven. Then after the first few sips it starts to taste like cinnamon and milk. It isn’t sweet, it isn’t bitter. This one is more of a pick up and go to work type of Frappuccino. Regular as regular gets.

Lemon Bar Frappuccino
First impression: This reminded me of watered down lemonade, the flavor didn’t last long at all. The overall smell of it pretty much made it for me. Almost all of the flavor was at the bottom of the cup so after 3-4 sips the drink was just ice bits and whipped cream.

Caramel Cocoa Cluster Frappuccino
First impression: I can really taste the caramel and cocoa at first sip but after a few seconds it quickly diminishes into the bitterness of coffee beans. Good start, not so good ending.

Cupcake Frappuccino
First impression: At first sip this one was fairly disgusting. It tastes exactly like reused captain crunch milk. It was overly sweet. The smell of it was quite deceptive compared to the actual taste. I won’t come back for this flavor.
