Dirisu made his stage debut in Shakespeare’s Pericles, Prince of Tyre as Pericles. After leaving the Royal Shakespeare Company, he returned to the National Youth Theatre, where he spent eight months training in the REP company program. He went on to appear in other television shows, including The Mill, Utopia, The Casual Vacancy, Humans, Undercover, and Siblings. Dirisu starred in three films in 2016: The Huntsman: Winter’s War, Criminal, and Sand Castle. He also starred in the anthology series Black Mirror’s episode “Nosedive” that same year.
He will appear in His House, a Netflix horror film that will be released on October 30, 2020. On January 27, 2020, it made its international premiere at the Sundance Film Festival. Co-starring will be Wunmi Mosaku, Cornell John as The Witch, Javier Botet, Emily Taaffe as Dr. Hayes, Matt Smith as Mark, and Malaika Abigaba.
