Risk of Rain 2 Lunar Coins appear to be a rare random drop that can be found after killing an enemy. They persist run to run, so spending them right away isn’t as important as it is with most other resources in the game. Here's everything you need to know about them.

Risk of Rain 2 Lunar Coins: Everything You Need to Know

Lunar Coins can be spent in a few different ways. Lunar Plants can be fed Lunar Coins in exchange for an item. Exactly how useful the items in that pool are remain unknown.

Players can also spend Lunar Coins at a Shrines of Newt, which look like blue rocks surrounded by blue spikes. If players do spend the coin, they’ll receive a blue orb. Keeping that orb to the end of the level and through beating the boss will open the Lunar Portal.

Passing through the portal will allow them to reach the Bazaar Between Realms. There players can exchange items, buy Devil Deal items, and spend 10 Lunar Coins to unlock the Mage character.

As Risk of Rain moves through early access, more uses will likely arise for Lunar Coins. For now, the Mage is the most impactful spending opportunity for Lunar Coins.
