The Philadelphia Eagles are releasing former All-Pro safety Kevin Byard, ESPN reported Friday. Cutting ties with the 30-year-old veteran will clear about $13.7 million in salary cap space. The Eagles acquired Byard from Tennessee in October in exchange for safety Terrell Edmunds and fifth- and sixth-round picks in this April's NFL draft. Byard made 10 starts for Philadelphia and recorded 75 tackles, three passes defensed and one interception. The two-time Pro Bowl and two-time All-Pro selection has 28 picks and 749 tackles in 130 games (121 starts) since the Titans drafted him in the third round in 2016. --Field Level Media
