This 2-year-old whitewashed restaurant in the Boardwalk plaza, with an indoor-outdoor bar overlooking a large deck on a lake, has expanded its menu.
The zucchini chips ($9) are a new favorite of co-owner Yanni Agelopoulos. “They are lightly flash-fried in only the purest Cretan olive oil and baked to perfection,” he says.
He also prefers the swordfish entree ($35). “We cook it on the charbroiler, season it with oregano, olive oil and sea salt and finish it with a lemon-saffron glaze,” he says.
Other additions include shrimp kebab ($30), pan-seared or grilled veal chop with herb sauce ($33), seafood-packed paella ($42; $57 with lobster) and red or white peach sangria ($10-$12, glass; $50, pitcher).
A $45.95 prix-fixe menu for two people from Sunday to Thursday until Sept. 24 offers three courses with entrees such as Athenian stuffed chicken.
“The plaza has been going through a major renovation, closing in on two years. It made it difficult for our patrons to find us, let alone walk up to our building sometimes,” Agelopoulos says. “Now with less than four months left, we can’t wait.”
