Hot 105 (WHQT-FM) radio personality Jill Tracey was arrested recently on charges of shoplifting $330 worth of merchandise from a Neiman-Marcus store in the Sawgrass Mills mall.
Sunrise police arrested Tracey on May 15. She was released from the Broward County Jail the next day on a pretrial release program.
Tracey, 33, does the What’s the 411? celebrity gossip news every 15 minutes after the hour during the station’s morning drive-time programs.
According to a Sunrise Police incident report, Tracey, of Harbor Island, was seen in the store concealing the merchandise in a shopping bag. She then walked out of the store without paying.
When confronted, she admitted to stealing the merchandise, police wrote in the report.
Hot 105, which plays urban contemporary music, was ranked third in the South Florida market for listeners over 12 in the Arbitron ratings released earlier this month.
