He was sued by Zomba Label Group, for copyright infringement, on October 11, 2007, they said that he had illegally posted recordings by Britney Spears on PerezHilton.com. The suit included unfinished recordings leaked over three months and at least 10 completed songs, He was asked for punitive and real damages in an unspecified amount and legal costs.
He then announced on his blog that he would not be blogging about artists signed to Sony BMG, in March 2008. But after he was done with the lawsuit and settled it in November 2007, he went on with his regular blogging about Sony BMG artists.
