FIRST TEAM
Giovana Canali, F, West Boca, sophomore: Two-year varsity player scored 12 goals and four assists for the Bulls; her career highlight came in district quarterfinals when she was injured and wasn’t expected to play — she borrowed a teammate’s jersey and went on the field and scored twice in the closing minutes to win the game.
Emma Filice, GKP, Wellington sophomore: posted 6 straight shutouts to close out the season and helped the Wolverines (15-3-2) reach the regional finals; posted 0.264 GAA with 12 shutouts; most proud of winning district finals and making it to the regional finals.
Emma Kate Lee, MF, Boca Raton sophomore: Anchored the center of the field for Boca and said her career highlight was playing with older/advanced players committed to D1 schools; scored one goal and had four assists; also runs cross country.
Emma Mossey, D, Boca Raton senior: South Carolina signee scored seven goals and three assists from her central defense position; team captain and four-year varsity member said winning the regional finals was what she was most proud of this year.
Lindsey Osinoff, F, Olympic Heights junior: Three-year varsity member and team captain scored 28 goals and added 16 assists for the Lions (20-3-2); named FACA 6A-20 Player of the Year; helped team to No. 2 overall ranking in the country in scoring; also plays flag football.
Alexandra Sanchez, D, Boca Raton senior: The MIT commit started and played every game as an outside defender; contributed two assists; team captain and four-year member of Bobcats said going to states for the first time in four years was the season highlight.
Ayumi Segura, D, Park Vista senior: Led the Cobras’ defense as a two-year varsity member; and scored twice with one assist, including the game-winning goal in the regional quarterfinals; said playing a new position and playing last year with friends was her career highlight.
Gabi Shegota, MF, Boca Raton senior: Scored a team-high 13 goals and 13 assists for the Bobcats; captain and four-year varsity member was team’s leading scorer past two seasons; Middle Tennessee State signee had two goals and two assists in regional semifinals this year.
Tyler Vance, MF, Wellington senior: Two-year captain and four-year varsity member scored 14 goals and added nine assists; had hat tricks in back-to-back playoff games, including district final in 2022; Florida Gulf Coast University signee most proud of leading team to the postseason.
Martina Wheeler, D, Seminole Ridge senior: Scored a team-leading 15 goals and 15 assists for the Hawks (15-5-3); team captain and four-year varsity starter scored the lone goal in win over rival Olympic Heights and helped team reach regionals for the first time in school history.
Julia Ziegenfuss, F, Dwyer senior: The Coastal Carolina signee scored a team-leading 21 goals and 5 assists for the Panthers helping them reach the regional semifinals; most proud of how team overcame the motorcycle death of their head coach and responded with a 10-game winning streak.

Rachael Grimes, Boca Raton: Guided the Bobcats (15-2-2) to the district and regional championships before falling to Cypress Bay in the Class 7A state semifinals. “I’m really proud of the girls for winning district and regionals. We worked hard on and off the field and had a memorable season.”
