NFTs are the hot potato of the creators’ town. They are gaining huge momentum as an ocean for artists, creators, and investors to create, discover, explore, and collect unique art pieces around the globe as well as to diversify their income streams.
But, talking about the majority in the creator pool might shift perspectives. There are numerous problems that are being faced by the NFT creators with no entity to bring them to light. The fame and money that the minority in the pool earn is the only talk of the town.
Interestingly, a campaign started by Vizva seems to be taking interest in plights that these NFT creators lying in the majority pool are facing. Instead of focusing on famous NFT artists, their campaign “Vizva: Voice your vision” revolves around reaching out to absolutely any NFT artist via social media and asking them about the problems that they have been facing in the NFT space.
The artists also get a chance to be featured on their social media for voicing their problems to light. The first two interactions out of numerous ones that followed turned out to be a common problem for the mass.
“I believe that newer/smaller artists are not getting the exposure they require to thrive. Furthermore, building a community and establishing oneself as a brand on any platform takes a very long time. Not to add the ever-increasing gas and minting fee.” -Santanu
“I've been a member of the NFT community for about 5 months. It's reasonable to say that I'm having some difficulty comprehending the complete technical circle that revolves around blockchain. - Pooja
To gain more support and build a community, they backed their global campaign up with a petition that addresses the same topic. Currently, the petition has 300 + running for more.
Blockchain hasn’t just redefined art, it’s also helped artists find new buyers without going through traditional gatekeepers of the art world. However, it becomes vital to understand the loopholes that exist from the artist’s point of view in order to have a safer creative space.
