Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate's release date arrives Nov. 17, publisher Warner Bros. Games announced Thursday.

Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate, developed by NetherRealm Studios, includes the base game plus the Aftermath Expansion and Kombat Pack 1 and 2. The Aftermath Expansion added a major story expansion in addition to three new playable characters:

• Fujin
• Sheeva
• RoboCop

The first Kombat Pack, released in the six months following Mortal Kombat 11's original launch, added six characters to the game's roster:

• Shang Tsung
• Nightwolf
• Sindel
• The Joker
• Terminator T-800
• Spawn

Finally, Kombat Pack 2, also announced Thursday, will add Rain, franchise favorite Mileena, and '80s action movie hero Rambo to the game.

Mortal Kombat 11 and Ultimate owners on current generation consoles will be able to upgrade for free to the next-gen versions of their games. The Xbox version of that offer comes through the console's Smart Delivery system. Finally, both Ultimate and regular owners will be able to compete across console lines.

Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate will cost $59.99. Pre-orders open Oct. 15.
