He came into this world in Memphis, Tennessee on July 12, 1991. His relationship with Jesus Christ, whom he had decided to accept as Lord and Savior, began at an early age. Matthew earned a BA in Banking and Finance from the University of Mississippi after finishing his undergraduate studies at Presbyterian Day School and Memphis University School. He was a member of two groups: the Tennessee Mortgage Bankers Association and the National Mortgage Bankers of America.
In the years after The Commonwealth Group was founded, he continued to play an important part in the company’s success as VP of quality control. Outdoor activities, such as hunting with his dad, skiing in Colorado, and hanging out with his loyal Golden Retriever Nala, were some of Matthew’s favorite ways to connect with nature. Along with his considerable golfing prowess, he possessed a lifelong devotion to music. Actually, he read voraciously. One of his favorite writers was C. S. Lewis, and he enjoyed quoting from Lewis’s books. Everyone who had the pleasure of knowing Matthew will always hold his charming personality, sharp intellect, and generous spirit in high regard.
