Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
It's not everyday you get to some students who strive for greatness like a family. Dedication, heart, and compassion is what these group of kids have. These 7th/8th grade students have come prepared to develop their academic skills and school spirit as a whole. When the students have struggled with their work they've created a learning mechanism to support one another inside and outside of school.
I can go on telling you just how amazing these kids are, but there aren't enough words in this world to tell you how amazing they are.
This year is meant for them to grow together, surpass their challenges, and exceed all expectations placed on them by everyone. This journey of theirs begins with your help.
My Project
These materials will help students continue working in small groups as they can begin to spread out and elaborate on their ideas. Since we've returned to the classroom it has been difficult to work in groups in order to practice, grow, and learn together. With these materials I can assign groups to work outside and collaborate with one another in a safe manner that continues to maintain a social distance for safety. This will help create more room within the classroom where other group members can collaborate with one another using my room whiteboards.
