Mark worked 1987 at KWWL Television, after his graduation in 1986, and for one year he worked as a photographer and reporter gaining skills. Then he got a job at KSRP TV in December 1989 as a weekend Sportscaster, for one year and 11 months. He also worked in Los Angeles Television Station KCAL LLC, as a Weekend Sportscaster and Anchor from December 1991 to June 1993.
He then went for special assignments at California, Los Angeles, and ESPN and even got Golden Mike Award for his work, during his time at KCAL. In 1995, he went to work as a correspondent and substitute anchor at Entertainment Tonight, after spending 17 years and one month at the station he left on July 27, 2012.
