Rust, one of the highest-rated multiplayer survival games currently available for PC, has a set of minimum requirements for players to best experience its gameplay.

Double Elven and Facepunch Studios have been developing, maintaining, and updating Rust since its first release in Dec. 11, 2013. Since then, the platform this favored survival game is often played on has upgraded to near super-realistic heights—often providing new avenues for the team to bring their vision to life. Essentially, this translates to several sets of minimum requirements to experience the game with each year.

Here are the minimum requirements to play Rust in 2021.

Rust Minimum Requirements

The absolute bare minimum requirements for a player’s PC are:

  • CPU: Intel Core i7-3770 or AMD FX 9590
  • RAM: 8GB
  • OS: Windows 7 (64bit)
  • Graphics: GTX 670 2GB or AMD R9 280
  • Storage Space: 10GB

PC enthusiasts will likely note the dated nature of these components. Fresh off the heels of NVIDIA’s latest graphics card release, players may barely remember these specifications ever existing. Fortunately, most likely won’t have to, as they’ll be ready to play RUST as long as they have any hardware above those listed.

Rust is currently available on Steam and may be making the jump to PlayStation 4 this year.
