A new error is plaguing Among Us players following the Airship and April Fools update this week.
No, this isn't an elaborate April Fool's Day joke. Several players are being barred from making games or joining those currently in progress thanks to an authentication error having to do with their account. Unfortunately, while the fix seems simple from the error text, there aren't a lot of options for those looking to sort things out on their end.
Here's what players can do to solve the "GoogleAuthNoToken" error.
been trying to respond to as many of you as possible, THANK YOU for all the love so far ??

How to Fix "Google Auth No Token" Among Us Error
This text allegedly appears exclusively on the Android mobile version of the game. When players attempt to log in to a game in progress or start up a match of their own, they are greeted with the following text:
"Failed! Something went wrong with creating your account. Please try again later. (Error GoogleAuthNoToken)."
Essentially, what's happening here is that Google is having a hard time authenticating the existence of the associated account. It's not that the game can't create the player's account or is attempting to create another version of the account—it simply cannot decipher the created request to access the game server.
There is currently no fix on the player's end for this issue. Some report success in deleting and redownloading the app or restarting their device. However, these solutions are not universal and are unconfirmed at the time of writing.
In the meantime, several have recommended using Free Play mode to bypass the need for an account altogether.
