Justin Pot 2013-06-24 13:49:45 I can't find a product number in the description. Is there one? Might help us if we're searching for drivers.Looking at the product, though, I'm skeptical how well it will work... Dr.Sunil V 2013-06-28 11:50:27 ThanksPl web-link reference to downloads/tools for updating sound drivers in Win 7 Emmanuel Asuncion 2013-06-24 01:16:26 Why not just buy an adapter to convert the speaker jack to the laptop's headphone jack. Something like the link below, Dr.sunil V 2013-07-07 17:13:00 ThanksPl check : The link which you mentioned - that device does not fit in either laptop nor for speaker pins Leland Whitlock 2013-06-23 02:53:23 The ebay site says it is plug and play but the Geeks.com site says it comes with a driver disk for Windows 98SE through XP. I suspect Microsoft may have released a driver for newer versions of Windows but I am not sure. So if you plug it in and it shows up as an unknown device use the disk to install the driver assuming you are using a compatible version of Windows. Otherwise you can search for drivers using Windows Update (Vista and newer). Good luck getting this working. Dr.sunil V 2013-07-07 17:11:44 ThanksWhile configuring sound settings for usb adapter ( connecting to external speakers ) in win 7 there is a option mentioning like for... woofer speakers and similar to what you said ( amplified speakers )The external speakers ( two ) are also included with woofer speaker with it's own volume regulator. For such a speaker setting can you pl mention what setting to choose while configuring the usb adapter in control panel of win 7? ha14 2013-06-22 08:36:39 is it not plug and playhttp:// Hovsep A 2013-07-07 17:28:30 you can try on another laptop to see if problem repeat itself?go to control panel-Hardware and Sound-click on Sound-Under Playback click on your speakers-In Speaker properties go to Advanced the change Default Format from drop down menu to better one.under Hardware and Sound there is Add a Device perhaos you can use that to add the USB audio correctly?once you plug the usb unit do you see any extra entries in device manager, if yes right click on it and choose uninstal.if it is hardware problem the either comes from the usb unit or audio cables? now the USB unit you cant do much unless you master physics. Jim Chambers 2013-06-22 01:55:55 Why not just use the stereo headphone out port for external powered speakers? Dr.Sunil V 2013-06-23 12:50:18 Thanks for alternative suggestionBut the pin of external speaker does not fit into the headphone port of laptop ( CQ Presario 42 )
