Hip-Fire Shots Have 100% Accuracy: Apex Legends Exploit Explained
The hip-fire mechanic in Apex Legends has always been strong, and it can be made stronger if you aim down sight then shoot from the hip. In a short clip by Reddit user TIGJCthagod, the Apex Legend player shoots one bullet from a fully automatic rifle and proceeds to hip-fire immediately.
The hip-fire shots end up shooting with 100 percent accuracy at distance. For whatever reason, the exploit makes it so the next few shots have no recoil in the automatic weapons. The players tested the R-99, R-301, Flatline, and Spitfire, and each proceeded to have devastating accuracy on the dummy-targets in the firing range.

If you didn't know about this exploit before, but have been playing Apex Legends for a while now, you probably have used this exploit without realizing it. It's pretty natural to aim down sight, then switch to hip-firing in a fight when the situation calls for it. The comment thread on the video is full of players stating either "this explains many of my kills" or "this explains many of my deaths."
For now, it looks like Respawn has no intention of fixing this exploit. It's reportedly been in the game for a while now, and has just become part of how players engage in fights.
