Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I work at a magnet school and so my kids are very motivated to do well in school. They are just all around awesome. They are very concerned politically and socially. Four years ago we began a humanities program to combine English and history classes so that they could get a broader view of the world. Boy, have they taken to it. They absolutely love it. They want more every single day.

My Project

My students have loved Heimler's History this year and years in the past. I want to give them even more and will be able to do that with Teachers Pay Teachers gift cards. He has cultivated lessons specific for each unit in AP World History. From what I can see, they are quite fantastic. This is my only my third year teaching the class, but I really want to take it to the next level so they can all ace the AP test. He motivates them in ways I can only dream of. God bless Steve Heimler, he has made my job so much easier and so much happier.
