The Gold Gas Mask returns to Warzone. Season 2 of Call of Duty: Warzone arrived Thursday with new weapons, game modes, and more. One of the more subtle additions is the revival of the Gold Gas Mask, a powerful item coveted by many players.
The Gold Gas Mask first arrived in August 2020 and is officially known as the "Durable" Gas Mask. It allowed its wearer to survive in lethal gas for an unprecedented amount of time and was generally considered overpowered. The rare item eventually disappeared altogether from the game but has now resurfaced in Season 2.
The Gold Gas Mask is located in the Warzone map's new area of interest, the Vodianoy Shipwreck. The Shipwreck location is on the southeast portion of the map along the coast. The Gold Gas Mask is held within the wreckage, amongst many other riches and rewards.

Gold Gas Mask Warzone Location
Players must venture inside the Vodianoy Shipwreck and interact with a computer to initiate the zombies onboard. After killing all the zombies that spawn, a Yellow Key Card can be retrieved from the final zombie's corpse. This will grant players access to a golden loot crate on the upper level of the Vodianoy.
In standard Battle Royale mode, the golden loot crate will contain a Gold Gas Mask along with other valuable items. The Season 2 edition of the Durable Gas Mask has been nerfed, reducing its duration to nearly half the time as the original design. Even with the substantial changes the Gold Gas Mask still lasts nearly twice as long as the next best mask.
Season 2 of Call of Duty: Warzone is now live along with Update 1.12.
