A fight broke out at Players Sports Bar & Grill that led to several people being shot early Sunday, the Sheriff’s Office said.
Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies arrived at Players, at 5280 North State Road 7 in North Lauderdale, just after 3:30 a.m. and found three people shot.
North Lauderdale Fire Rescue brought the victims to a hospital. A fourth victim brought themselves to a hospital, the Sheriff’s Office said.
According to Broward Sheriff’s Office investigators, after the fight broke out one person was kicked out of the club, That person is believed to have fired shots at the club, wounding the victims.
The Sheriff’s Office did not say Sunday whether the victims were targeted from the earlier fight or shot at random.
One of the four shooting victims is seriously injured and the other three have non-life-threatening injuries, Sheriff’s Office spokesman Carey Codd said in a statement Sunday.
The alleged shooter took off in a car and headed south North State Road 7. Neither a description of the vehicle nor a description of a possible suspect was provided by authorities.
BSO’s Violent Crimes Unit and Crime Scene Unit are investigating.
