It was Rafe Peavey's shot to prove what he was...

It was Rafe Peavey's shot to prove what he was capable, getting the start after Chris Robison's four-interception game at Marshall where he left with an ankle injury. He started off hot, 4 for 4 with 51 yards on the opening touchdown drive, capped by a Singletary run, but the Owls didn't see the end zone again. Peavey was 15 of 26 for 115 yards, no touchdown passes and two key turnovers late in the first half. Kiffin said Robison, who did come in on FAU's final drive, felt fine pregame, but it wouldn't have been fair to start him after Peavey took first-team reps in practice this week.
