Eric Hook, 48, likes to think he is one hot-blooded rock star.
He also tells women wild stories of fame in order to steal their cars, reports reports WTSP in Tampa Bay.
In 1997, Hook told a woman that he was Eric Clapton’s drummer and needed her car to pick up Clapton at the airport.
In 1991, Hook was arrested for stealing a hair stylist’s money. He told her he was the manager for Van Halen.
This time he told Norma Rutledge, 47, that he was the drummer for the rock band Foreigner.
Clearwater Police said Hook met Rutledge at another hotel in Tampa and convinced her to meet him at the Hilton in Clearwater Beach.
At the Hilton he used the name and room number of a patron there to order drinks and cash throughout the course of the day.
He then conned a valet at the Hilton into giving him a woman’s 2002 Corvette without her consent.
Then he wrecked the car.
Live like a rock star, get arrested like a rock star.
Guess he’ll never know what love is….
