Law enforcement agencies will increase police patrols and set up breath alcohol testing sites and vehicle checkpoints around Broward County tonight in a crackdown on drunken drivers and boaters.

From 10 p.m. tonight to 3 a.m. on Saturday, drivers and boaters will be stopped at various checkpoints by police officers, the Florida Marine Patrol and U.S. Coast Guard.

The Broward Sheriff’s Office checkpoints will be in the 1000 block of South Federal Highway in Deerfield Beach; the 2400 block of North Federal Highway near Pompano Beach and the 3300-3400 blocks of West Commercial Boulevard in Tamarac.
