Don Francisco Biography
Don Francisco is a renowned Chilean television host who can be seen on the Univision network, which broadcasts to a Spanish-speaking audience in the United States. He is currently the host of Don Francisco Te Invita, a Sunday night discussion show that premiered on October 9, 2016, and is considered a spiritual successor to both Don Francisco Presenta and Sábado Gigante. He joined Telemundo in 2016.
He started a TV show called Sábados Gigantes on Canal 13 in 1962. He adapted several of the formulas he saw on American television for the Chilean audience. That show was an instant success, lasting more than 53 years. SIN began producing the show in Miami, Florida in 1986, using the identical format used in Chile, but with a somewhat different name Sábado Gigante to KMEX-DT channel 34 Los Angeles.
