Daisy went to the West Country to work as a cleaner with her brother Charlie after appearing as a young mother in the ITV series Doc Martin. The siblings lived together for a time, and their experiences became part of the writings for This Country.
She earned the part of PC Garvey in the TV series The Wrong Mans in 2014. The same year, a pilot based on the Coopers’ initial series concept was made for ITV as the (unreleased) film Kerry, which served as the inspiration for This Country. She co-wrote and performed in the BBC Three comedy series This Country with her brother Charlie, for which she received a TV BAFTA award for Best Female Comedy Performance in 2018.
Because the first season of This Country was a success, a second series was commissioned and premiered on BBC Three in February 2018. A third season will premiere in 2020. She starred as Peggotty in The Personal History of David Copperfield in 2019, and in Armando Iannucci’s HBO space comedy Avenue 5 in 2020.
