Al Capone would be 115 years old on Saturday, a fact not lost upon those at NYY Steak at Seminole Casino Coconut Creek.
NYY Steak will mark the birthday of the Chicago gangster, who died at age 48 on Palm Island near the MacArthur Causeway, by offering a four-course meal paired with wine and whiskey.
Meanwhile, grandniece Deirdre Capone will sign and give all guests copies of her book, “Uncle Al Capone.”
The cuisine: NYY Steak crab cakes paired with Conundrum White 2012 from Rutherford, Calif., followed by a baby green salad; bone-in filet oscar topped with Alaskan king crab and paired with Midwest Manhattan. Then, a NYY Steak chocolate trio paired with Justin Obtuse 2011 from Paso Robles, Calif.
The event also will include a cocktail reception featuring Chicago Typewriter and birthday cake at the Legends Lounge with live swing music.
Tickets for the 7 p.m. event cost $125. Call 954-935-6699.
