From 1975 to January 1982, Bryant worked as the host of many sporting events for NBC including the National Football League, college basketball as well as Major League Baseball. In 1988, he returned to sportscasting for NBC when he hosted the prime-time coverage of the 1988 Summer Olympics. Bryant reported on the event from the PGA Tour and Seoul in 1990.
