The St. Louis Cardinals first drafted Brad during the 2002 amateur draft in the 16th round out of Dixie State College of Utah. On May 8, 2005, He made his first major league debut where he had 40 appearances and a 2.95 ERA in 55 innings pitched.

Furthermore, he was sent down to the Cardinals’ AAA affiliate, the Memphis Redbirds on July 3, 2006. On April 23, 2008, he was traded to Memphis, however, he was released on November 4, 2009. Additionally, he joined the Kansas City Royals for the 2010 season. He chose to become a free agent after he was designated for assignment, after he played until June 3. He was released in August of 2010 with the Houston Astros.

As he played winter baseball in the Dominican Republic, he got injured during the 2011 season, getting ready for the 2012 season. Additionally, on January 19, 2012, he signed a minor league contract, with the Minnesota Twins.
