The seventh annual charity golf tournament benefiting the Alzheimer’s Family Center begins with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. May 22 at the Carolina Club.
The tournament includes an awards banquet, a raffle for two round-trip airline tickets to France, and a silent auction.

Seniors learn healthy living
To promote the new “Senior Friends” program, Columbia University Hospital is throwing a party from 10 a.m.-noon Thursday. The party will be at the hospital, 7201 N. University Drive.
The program teaches seniors healthy living through activities, lectures, one-day trips and discounts. Enrollment is $15 a year. It is for ages 50 and older.
