Are Scarlett Johansson and Candice Swanepoel the best dressed stars to walk the Venice Film Festival 2019 red carpet?

The 76th Venice International Film Festival is officially underway, and if you thought the red carpet in Cannes back in May could not get any more glamorous, our list of highlighted looks this time around will change your mind. As the temperature reached 31 degrees Celsius in Venice, celebrities seized the opportunity to turn up more heat and donned skin-baring looks that warranted a double take.

Model Elsa Hosk led the pack by showing up in a stunning Etro number, featuring lace-up details that clung to her svelte figure and highlighted her defined abs. Both Sofia Richie and Isabeli Fontana also opted for midriff-flaunting ensembles with asymmetrical hemlines that showed off their toned legs. Sheer pieces stole the show, too. Martha Hunt's silk train added a sensual feel to her structured look, while Candice Swanepoel’s lurex piece fit her like second skin.
