As Tre Pulliam went, so too didthe Friars, who made an impressive run to the Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association A Conference championship game to finish with a 17-9 record.

A four-year starter, two-year captain and All-Metro first-team selection, Pulliam scored 29 goals and 11 assists, scoring in 20 of the 24 games he played in. While his soccer skills stand out, his confidence and leadership proved just as important in the team’s successful season.

Struggling with at 9-8, Pulliam led the Friars to eight straight wins — totaling nine goals and six assists during the stretch — and then scored an early goal in the title game against No. 1 McDonogh before the Eagles rallied for a 2-1 win. The UMBC commit scored 74 career goals — three shy of Giuliano Celenza’s all-time program mark — and added 25 assists.

“As a coach, Tre really spolis you by the fact you can really rely on him to put the ball in the back of the net,” Archbishop Curley coach Barry Stitz said. “He’s one of those special players that every time he touches the ball, you know something special can happen to help the team.”
